THE 4 STAR TIER
What Does a 4-Star Rating Mean for an Umrah Hotel?
A 4-star rating is the Saudi Ministry of Tourism's official classification for an upper-mid-range hotel, with a licence number anyone can check; across the 4-star hotels we book, that means restaurants or a café, room service, lifts and family rooms. It rates the hotel's facilities; the walk to the mosque still depends on the hotel you choose.
Across the 4-star hotels we book, Makkah ranges from hotels adjoining Masjid al-Haram in the Abraj Al-Bait complex to hotels several kilometres out at much lower prices, while every Madinah 4-star we book is within about 350 m of Masjid an-Nabawi. Several international brands are officially 4-star here, including Swissôtel Al Maqam, Pullman ZamZam Makkah, DoubleTree by Hilton Jabal Omar and Crowne Plaza Madinah.

Yes. All six hotels on our ready-made 4 Star packages hold an official 4-star rating from the Saudi Ministry of Tourism, and each licence number is listed below so you can check it.
Elaf Kinda, Makkah
4 Star 7 Nights. Between King Abdulaziz Gate and King Fahd Gate, 200 m from Masjid al-Haram. Licence 10007171. Haram-view suites with Haram-connected speakers and two halal restaurants.
Sheraton Makkah Jabal Al Kaaba
4 Star 10 Nights. On the slopes of Jabal Al Kaaba, 950 m from Masjid al-Haram, with an air-conditioned pedestrian bridge to the mosque in the Ramadan and Hajj seasons. Licence 10002512. Four restaurants and an indoor play area.
Ramada Dar Al Fayzeen, Makkah

ZIYARAT
Is Ziyarat Included in 4 Star Umrah Packages?
Yes on 10 and 14 nights: both include a guided Ziyarat tour in Makkah and another in Madinah. On 7 nights, Ziyarat is an add-on priced in your quote. Tours are guided in English, Urdu, Punjabi or Bengali, and take about two and a half hours in Makkah and two hours in Madinah.

MEALS
Do 4 Star Umrah Packages Include Meals?
Yes: breakfast every day on 7 and 10 nights, and half board — breakfast and dinner — on 14 nights. Every hotel in the tier has its own restaurant, from Elaf Taiba's three dining venues to the Sheraton's four, so lunch and other meals are easy to find on site.
Half board or full board can be added to the 7 and 10-night packages and priced in your quote.

How Much Does a 4 Star Umrah Package Cost for a Family or Group?
Two adults and two children aged 2 to 11 pay from £2,190 on 4 Star 7 Nights in a quad room. On that package a child with their own bed costs £515, a child in the parents' bed £415 and a baby under 2 £180, while a double room for two adults costs £830 each — £250 more than four to a room.

Yes. You can spend more nights in Madinah than Makkah, go to Madinah first, fly from any UK airport, take the Haramain High-Speed Railway between the cities, or ask for a Haram-view room such as Elaf Kinda's suites. Each change is quoted before you pay.

WHEN TO GO
When Is the Best Time for a 4 Star Umrah?
4 Star is our Ramadan tier: our last-ten-nights Ramadan departure uses 4-star hotels, from £2,290 per adult. Outside Ramadan, the school holidays are the busiest dates and term-time months the quietest.
Ramadan and Easter
Seats for the last ten nights go first, so check Ramadan Umrah prices as early as you can. In 2027 Umrah closes for Hajj before the Easter school break, so Easter Umrah dates mean arriving by 23 March; a 4 Star package's private transfers and breakfast make that trip easier with children.

No shuttle is needed on our ready-made 4 Star packages: their Makkah hotels are within walking distance of the Haram, and the Sheraton Jabal Al Kaaba connects to the mosque by an air-conditioned bridge in the Ramadan and Hajj seasons. If you build your own trip around a 4-star hotel further out, we provide a shuttle to the Haram.
Can I upgrade to the Haramain train on a 4 Star Umrah package?
Yes. The Haramain High-Speed Railway can replace the private car between Makkah and Madinah, about two and a half hours, and the difference is shown in your quote.
Can I choose a triple room or my own hotel on a 4 Star package?
Yes. Every ready-made 4 Star package prices a triple room, and you can swap either hotel for any 4-star hotel in the table above.
Can I book a 4 Star Umrah package at short notice?
Yes, while seats and rooms last: our fixed-date 4-star departures are listed with the packages, and a ready-made package can be quoted for near dates.
How do I book a 4 Star Umrah package, and what if I cancel?
Ask for a quote. £50 per person holds your booking and is part of the price; 50% of the price is due within 24 hours, and the balance 20 days before departure. The balance can be paid in up to two instalments, and a booking made within 20 days of departure is paid in full once the tickets are issued. Cancellations are made in writing by the lead passenger, and the booking terms apply. Once a booking is confirmed and invoiced, payments are not refunded, so take out travel insurance that covers cancellation.
Are 4 Star Umrah packages ATOL protected?
Yes. Every package with flights is protected by ATOL 74904, and the ATOL certificate comes with your tickets once the 50% payment is made; the number can be checked on the CAA's ATOL holder search.
How much is a 4 Star Umrah for 4 people?
£2,320 for a week when four adults share one room, at £580 each; ten nights come to £2,520.
Is 7 days enough for a 4 Star Umrah?
