Yes. Women aged 18 and over can perform Umrah without a Mahram, travelling alone or with other women, and need no one's permission to book. Our ladies' groups travel with a female leader, so no woman has to make the journey by herself.

What Is a Women's Umrah Package?
It is an Umrah trip for women travelling without a male guardian: a women-only group with a female leader, rooms shared only with other women, and the flights, visa, hotels and transfers in one price. It suits solo women, sisters, mothers and daughters, and groups of friends, and the group stays together for the airport, the journey between the cities and Ziyarat.

From £535 per person for a 3 Star week when four women share a room, £580 on 4 Star and £835 on 5 Star, with flights. Two friends sharing a double room pay £785 each on the 3 Star week, and a room of your own costs £1,060. Ten nights on 3 Star start at £585 with four sharing.

Yes. A woman booking on her own is roomed with other women in the group, which keeps the price at the sharing rate rather than the cost of a single room. Tell us if you are travelling with a sister, mother or friend and we keep you in the same room.

RULES FOR WOMEN
What Are the Umrah Rules for Women?
Three points differ for women: Ihram is her normal modest clothing in any colour, with the face and hands uncovered; the Talbiyah is recited quietly; and during menstruation she enters Ihram and makes the intention, but delays Tawaf and the prayer until she is pure. What Should Women Pack for Umrah?
Six essentials cover it; avoid perfumed products while in Ihram.
- Loose abayas and modest prayer clothing.
- Comfortable walking shoes or sandals.
- A personal prayer mat and a pocket Quran.
- Unscented toiletries for Ihram.
- Regular medication, with a doctor's note.
- A light layer for cool evenings and the winter months.

Women aged 18 and over are free to perform Umrah without a Mahram, and a package keeps the practical side in one pair of hands: the group travels together, transfers are booked in advance, and help is a call away. Between the two cities you travel with your group by road, or on the Haramain high-speed train if you add it.

Does a Female Leader Travel With the Group?
Yes: our ladies' groups travel with a female leader who stays with the group and helps with the rites. Guidance for Umrah itself follows the tier, from a printed guide on 3 Star to an Umrah guide on 4 Star and a scholar on 5 Star, and Ziyarat is included from the 10-night 4 Star package upwards. Mothers travelling with children can see Umrah for the family, and women from one mosque or community can book together on Umrah packages for mosque and family groups.

Can You Choose the Length and What Is Included?

BOOKING
How Do You Book a Women's Umrah Package?
Send us your dates and who is travelling. £50 per person holds your booking and is part of the price; 50% of the price is due within 24 hours, and the balance 20 days before departure. The balance can be paid in up to two instalments, and a booking made within 20 days of departure is paid in full once the tickets are issued. Every package with flights is protected by ATOL 74904. Insha Travel is the Hajj and Umrah brand of Times Travel, which has arranged Umrah since 1989. Times Travel Ltd is registered at Companies House (01813409) and is an IATA agent (91245302). Can I do Umrah as a woman alone?
Yes. From the age of 18 you can travel and perform Umrah on your own; many women choose a ladies' group for company and support.
