More Information
February is unlike any other Umrah month because it splits in two. Early February is still off-peak winter — quiet at Masjid al-Haram, mild in weather and among the cheapest of the year, much like January, so pilgrims enjoy an unhurried pilgrimage. Late February is different: it increasingly falls in Ramadan, the most spiritually rewarding time to draw closer to Allah, when demand and prices rise sharply. The exact split moves each year, so when you travel in February decides both your experience and your price.

The key fact for any February Umrah is when Ramadan begins. Ramadan starts around 18 February 2026 and around 8 February 2027, so a late-February departure will partly or fully fall in the holy month, while an early-February trip stays in the pre-Ramadan period (the month of Sha'ban). A Ramadan Umrah carries immense reward — the Prophet ﷺ said an Umrah in Ramadan equals a Hajj in reward — but Ramadan hotels near the Haram book out months ahead and cost the most of the year. If you want the Ramadan experience, plan early; if you want winter value, choose the first half of February. See our Umrah in Ramadan for holy-month departures.
The UK school February half-term — a single week in mid-February — is the one family-friendly window in the month, letting parents take children for Umrah without missing school. It is short, so a 7-night package fits best, and it sits in the pre-Ramadan part of the month in most years, keeping prices below the Ramadan peak. Half-term places fill quickly, so book early. See our Umrah for families.
February is late winter in Saudi Arabia — still one of the most comfortable months for Umrah, warming slightly from January. Daytime temperatures in Makkah average 25-30°C (77-86°F), and Madinah is cooler at 19-24°C (66-75°F). Nights remain cool, especially in Madinah where they can fall to 11-14°C (52-57°F), so a light jacket is useful for evening prayers. The mild, dry conditions keep daytime Tawaf and outdoor Ziyarat comfortable.
February's cool, dry weather makes it an excellent month for guided Ziyarat — the tours of historical Islamic sites — before the spring heat. Every February package includes guided Ziyarat in both holy cities. Around Makkah you visit Jabal al-Nour (the Cave of Hira), the Cave of Thawr, Jabal Arafat and Mina; a winter day trip to Taif can be added. In Madinah the tour covers Masjid Quba (the first mosque in Islam), Masjid al-Qiblatain, Mount Uhud and Jannat al-Baqi. For the rituals themselves — entering Ihram, performing Tawaf around the Kaaba and Sa'i between Safa and Marwah — an English-speaking guide assists you on arrival at Al-Masjid al-Haram.
Pick your February Umrah by hotel rating, length of stay or departure city:

Every February Umrah package includes return UK flights, Umrah visa processing through the Saudi Nusuk platform, hotels near Al-Masjid al-Haram in Makkah and Al-Masjid an-Nabawi in Madinah, all transfers and guided Ziyarat; meals are room-only as standard, with breakfast or half-board as an add-on. Insha Travel is an IATA-certified UK Muslim travel agency and every flight-inclusive package is ATOL protected, with hotels near the Haram and UK-based support.
