September is early autumn in Saudi Arabia, when the extreme summer heat begins to break. Daytime temperatures in Makkah average 37-42°C (99-108°F) early in the month, easing as it goes on, and Madinah is cooler at 34-39°C (93-102°F). Nights are warm at 27-30°C (81-86°F). It is still hot at midday but more bearable than July and August, especially in late September, so morning and evening worship is comfortable.
