AUTUMN UMRAH
Is October a Good Month for Umrah?
Yes. October is when the heat breaks, with Makkah's afternoons down to 40°C and Madinah's to 37°C, and all but one week of it is term time, sold at our year-round prices. The exception is the autumn half-term, the one week in October when families can travel without missing school.

Which October Umrah Packages Fit the Half-Term?
For most English schools the half-term is 26 to 30 October 2026, and two of our dated departures are built around it: seven nights from Birmingham on Saudia's direct flight, leaving on 24 October, from £949 per adult with four sharing, and six nights from Manchester with Etihad, leaving on 26 October, from £1,165. Both have a fixed number of seats. Scottish schools and some English areas break earlier in October, so check your school's dates; in 2027 the main half-term week is 25 to 29 October.
Any other half-term date can be quoted on a year-round package, priced for that week.

What Is the Weather Like in Makkah and Madinah in October?
Hot days and warm nights, but easing: Makkah averages 40°C by day and 27°C at night in October, and Madinah 37°C and 24°C. Madinah cools fastest, losing 5°C on September, and evenings there become comfortable for sitting in the mosque courtyard. Pack light cotton for the day; no warm layer is needed yet.

How Do You Find a Cheap October Umrah Package?
Travel before 24 October or after the half-term week, share a room with three others on Economy, and stay flexible about the airport: that keeps an October week at £500 per adult. If you already hold flights, a land package starts at £350 per adult with four sharing for five nights, with both hotels and the transfers. More ways to pay less are on cheap Umrah 2027.

Should You Choose 4 Star, 5 Star or All-Inclusive in October?
4 Star adds breakfast, private transfers and an Umrah guide for £80 more than an Economy week; 5 Star adds half board, VIP transfers, a scholar and Ziyarat from £835; and fourteen 5 Star nights come with full board. What Does a Half-Term Umrah Cost a Family of Four?
On our Birmingham half-term departure, two adults and two children aged 2 to 11 sharing a room pay £3,578 for the week: £949 for each adult and £840 for each child, with half board. Can You Book a Last-Minute October Umrah?
Yes. Year-round packages are sourced for your dates, so an October trip can be arranged at short notice, and the dated departures can be booked while seats remain. Tell us the days you are free and we confirm the flights and hotels before you pay. Should You Go in October or Wait for November?
Go in October if you need the half-term or want the first cooler weeks; wait for November if you can travel in term time and prefer milder days, with Makkah down to 36°C. The dearest season of the year is Ramadan Umrah trips 2027, and Easter Umrah planning explains the spring closure.
FLIGHTS AND BAGGAGE
Are October Flights Direct, and Is Baggage Included?
Both kinds are on offer. Saudia is the only airline flying direct from the UK, to Jeddah, from Heathrow, Gatwick and Manchester, and from Birmingham on selected dates; there is no direct flight to Madinah, and every other UK airport connects through a hub. Our 24 October departure from Birmingham is on Saudia's direct flight, and our Manchester half-term group flies with Etihad through Abu Dhabi with 25 kg of checked baggage.

Is an October Umrah a Guided Group or an Independent Trip?
Your choice: the dated half-term departures have fixed flights and hotels, the Birmingham one with guided Ziyarat, and year-round packages are independent trips with the guidance of their tier, from an e-guide to a scholar. Mosques can set up their own departure with group Umrah 2027. Women aged 18 and over do not need a Mahram for Umrah: see Umrah for Muslim women from the UK. How Do You Book, and Who Are You Booking With?
£50 per person holds your booking and is part of the price; 50% of the price is due within 24 hours, and the balance 20 days before departure. Every package with flights is protected by ATOL 74904. Cancellations are made in writing by the lead passenger, and the booking terms apply: see booking and cancellation terms.

Is it cheaper to book an October Umrah myself?
Sometimes, in term time, if you are flexible; for the half-term, a package holds the flight seats, hotels and transfers together under one ATOL-protected booking.
How much does a 15 day Umrah cost in October?
Fourteen nights start at £640 per adult with four sharing on Economy, and fifteen 3 Star nights at £685, outside the half-term week.
