More Information
November is the final value month of the Umrah year before prices climb for the winter holidays. It is term time in the UK, so there are no school-holiday crowds, the weather is cool and comfortable, and the Haram is calm. Because the December Christmas and New-Year break pushes demand and prices up from the end of the month, November is effectively the last chance to perform Umrah at low-season rates before winter. It is a quiet, affordable, comfortable month — ideal for anyone who can travel outside the school holidays.

November is late autumn turning to early winter in Saudi Arabia, with some of the most comfortable conditions of the year. Daytime temperatures in Makkah average 30-35°C (86-95°F), and Madinah is cooler at 25-31°C (77-88°F). Nights turn cool, especially in Madinah where they can drop to 18-23°C (64-73°F), so a light layer is useful in the evenings. The mild, dry weather makes daytime Tawaf and the outdoor Ziyarat easy and pleasant.
November sits in the low season, so fares and Haram-area hotels are near their yearly lows, from around £699 per person — but only until the December rush begins. From late November, as families look ahead to the Christmas and New-Year break, prices start to rise toward the December peak. Booking a November departure (or an early-December one before rates climb) secures low-season pricing. The mid-winter weeks of January are usually the single cheapest of all — see our budget Umrah, and compare the busier December Umrah.
With no school holidays and the winter rush not yet started, November offers some of the calmest worship of the year. Tawaf is easy, prayer lines are short, and reaching the Rawdah in Madinah or getting close to the Kaaba is far simpler than in peak months. Combined with the cool weather, this makes November excellent for first-time pilgrims, for older travellers, and for anyone who wants unhurried, focused time in the holy cities away from the crowds.
November's cool, dry weather makes it one of the best months for guided Ziyarat — the tours of historical Islamic sites — comfortable even at the outdoor and uphill sites. Every November package includes guided Ziyarat in both holy cities. Around Makkah you visit Jabal al-Nour (the Cave of Hira), the Cave of Thawr, Jabal Arafat and Mina; a day trip to Taif is crisp and clear at this time of year. In Madinah the tour covers Masjid Quba (the first mosque in Islam), Masjid al-Qiblatain, Mount Uhud and Jannat al-Baqi. For the rituals themselves — entering Ihram, performing Tawaf around the Kaaba and Sa'i between Safa and Marwah — an English-speaking guide assists you on arrival at Al-Masjid al-Haram.

Every November Umrah package includes return UK flights, Umrah visa processing through the Saudi Nusuk platform, hotels near Al-Masjid al-Haram in Makkah and Al-Masjid an-Nabawi in Madinah, all transfers and guided Ziyarat; meals are room-only as standard, with breakfast or half-board as an add-on. Insha Travel is an IATA-certified UK Muslim travel agency and every flight-inclusive package is ATOL protected, with hotels near the Haram and UK-based support by phone and WhatsApp. See the Saudi tourist visa for Umrah, read our reviews, or browse other months: October Umrah, December Umrah and January Umrah, or all explore all our packages.
