Is November a Good Month for Umrah?
Yes, for anyone free in term time: November brings Makkah's days down to an average high of 36°C, comes after the October half-term and before schools break up for Christmas, and has no Islamic season of its own, so it carries no holiday pricing. November 2026 falls in Jumada al-Ula and Jumada al-Akhirah 1448, well before Ramadan.
It suits working pilgrims, retired parents, couples and first-timers who want a calmer first visit. Families with school-age children usually wait for a half-term or Christmas instead. How Hot Is Makkah in November?
Warm rather than hot: Makkah averages 36°C by day and 23°C at night in November, and Madinah 30°C by day and 18°C at night. That is 4°C cooler than October in Makkah and 7°C cooler in Madinah, so the midday walk to the mosque is comfortable again and the Ziyarat sites can be visited in daylight. November opens the winter Umrah season: from November to February, Makkah's average highs stay between 31°C and 36°C.
November is also one of Makkah's three wettest months, though that still means only about two days of rain on average; when rain comes, it can fall as a short, heavy downpour. Pack a light jumper or shawl for Fajr and Isha in Madinah; Makkah's nights stay mild enough for Ihram.

How Busy Is Makkah in November?
November misses the three busiest times for UK pilgrims, the school half-terms, Christmas and Ramadan, though Masjid al-Haram is never empty: pilgrims from every country come all year. Fridays are the fullest days, so walk to Jumu'ah early. Tawaf is easiest after Fajr and late at night, and in Madinah a visit to the Rawdah needs a booked time slot.

A November week costs from £500 per adult on Economy, with four sharing a room, up to £1,135 on Luxury, because November dates have no school-holiday pricing. Ten nights start at £560 and fourteen at £640 on Economy (per adult, four sharing). Two sharing a double room pay from £750 each for the Economy week, and a land package without flights starts at £350 per adult with four sharing for five nights.

Which November Dates Can You Book?
Any date you choose: year-round packages are sourced for your dates, so the packages above are examples, not the only November trips. Term time runs from the first week of November, when the October half-term ends, to about 18 December, when schools break up, so a trip that leaves in late November and is home by mid-December still avoids holiday pricing.
This November our dated departures leave Manchester on 3 November and London Stansted on 14 November. They have a fixed number of seats and can sell out; year-round packages can be sourced for other dates.
FLYING IN NOVEMBER
Can You Fly Direct From the UK for a November Umrah?
Yes. Saudia is the only airline flying direct from the UK, to Jeddah, from Heathrow, Gatwick and Manchester, and from Birmingham on selected dates; there is no direct flight to Madinah, and every other UK airport connects through a hub. Connecting routes, such as Pegasus via Istanbul on our November departures, often cost less and give more choice of times. On Saudia, Zamzam water is carried on top of your baggage allowance; other airlines set their own rules, and we tell you the allowance before you pay. Road transfers are included; the Haramain high-speed train between Makkah and Madinah can be quoted as an upgrade.

Who Is a November Umrah Best For?
November suits pilgrims who are free in term time: retired parents, couples, workers using annual leave, first-timers and families whose children are not yet at school. Mosques planning a winter trip can compare Umrah for friends travelling together.
Retired parents
Milder days make the walk to the mosque easier. Starting in Madinah lets them rest after the flight, and wheelchair-accessible transfers and hotels can be requested on any tier.
Couples
A room for two costs £750 per person on the Economy week and £1,085 per person on the 5 Star week.
First-time pilgrims
Economy comes with a step-by-step e-guide, 4 Star with an Umrah guide and 5 Star with a scholar-led guide; Ziyarat is included from 4 Star 10 nights upwards.
Working pilgrims

NOVEMBER OR ANOTHER MONTH?
Is November Cheaper Than December or Ramadan?
Yes. November dates sell at our year-round prices, from £500 per adult with four sharing for a week, while our Christmas departures start at £1,100 for eight nights and the last ten nights of Ramadan at £1,585 for eleven. For the same budget, November buys a longer stay: fourteen Economy nights cost £640 per adult with four sharing. Of the four winter months, only November and most of January fall outside both the school holidays and Ramadan.

£50 per person holds your booking and is part of the price; 50% of the price is due within 24 hours, and the balance 20 days before departure. Every package with flights is protected by ATOL 74904.
