Easter Umrah packages are Umrah trips from the UK for the spring school holidays; one ATOL-protected price covers the flights, the Saudi visa, both hotels and the transfers. In 2027 Umrah closes to new arrivals after 23 March, so an Easter trip flies out just before the holidays and returns by 7 April; ten nights cost from £560 per adult with four sharing on Economy, and a family of four pays from £2,590 for twelve 4 Star nights.

Can You Do Umrah at Easter in 2027?
Yes, if you arrive before Umrah closes for Hajj: the last day to enter Saudi Arabia for Umrah is 23 March 2027, five days before Easter Sunday, and pilgrims can then stay until 7 April. For most families that means flying out just before the holidays begin and spending the Easter break in Makkah and Madinah; in Wales and Leicester, where term ends on Friday 19 March, the flight out falls inside the holidays. Nobody can start an Umrah after 23 March.
The visa has to be issued before new Umrah visas stop on 9 March, so book early; Umrah visa rules 2027 explains the visa that comes with your package.

When Are Easter and the School Holidays in 2027?
Good Friday is 26 March 2027, Easter Sunday 28 March and Easter Monday 29 March; school holidays start on 22 March in Wales and Leicester, 25 March in Northern Ireland, 26 March in many English councils and 5 April in Manchester and Glasgow. Dates are set by each council and school, so check your own term dates before you ask for a quote.

FITTING IT IN
How Do You Fit an Easter Umrah Around the Hajj Cut-Off?
Fly out on or before Tuesday 23 March and come home any day up to 7 April: that costs no school days in Wales or Leicester, three where term ends on 25 March, and seven where it runs to 2 April, as in Manchester and Glasgow. For working parents, leaving on 23 March and returning on Sunday 4 April gives twelve nights for seven days of annual leave, because Good Friday and Easter Monday are bank holidays in England, Wales and Northern Ireland (in Scotland only Good Friday is, so it is eight days). The longest stay that fits is fifteen nights. In England a holiday in term time is unauthorised absence, and under the national rules in force since August 2024 a fine can follow from five school days off within ten school weeks: £80 per parent for each child if paid within 21 days, or £160 within 28 days. Ask your school before you book.
These are published dates, not estimates: Saudi Arabia's published Umrah calendar for 1448 makes 23 March 2027 the last day to enter and 7 April the last day to leave. We check every Easter booking against them, and flying a day or two before the limit leaves a margin.

How Much Does an Easter Umrah Package Cost?
After Eid our year-round prices apply again, so an Easter trip costs from £560 per adult with four sharing for ten Economy nights, £640 for fourteen, and £685 for twelve 4 Star nights with breakfast. A 5 Star week starts at £835, and fourteen 5 Star nights with full board at £1,135. That is far below the last ten nights of Ramadan a few weeks earlier.

What Does an Easter Umrah Cost a Family of Four?
£2,590 for twelve 4 Star nights with breakfast, when both parents (£685 each) share a room with two children aged 2 to 11 (£610 each). Infants and youths have their own lower prices, and connecting rooms are guaranteed on request. The mild weather suits a child's first visit to the holy cities; family Umrah packages 2027 sets out every age band.
EASTER WEATHER
Is It Too Hot for Umrah at Easter?
No. Late March is still mild: Makkah averages 35°C by day and 22°C at night, and Madinah 31°C and 17°C. By April the averages rise to 39°C in Makkah and 36°C in Madinah, so the first days of April are warmer. Pack light, breathable clothing, a light layer for the evening, comfortable shoes, sun hats and refillable bottles for the children.

Does Easter Fall In or After Ramadan?

Are There Direct Easter Flights From Manchester, Birmingham and London?
Yes, to Jeddah: Saudia's non-stop Easter flights go from Heathrow, Gatwick and Manchester, with Birmingham on some dates; Madinah needs a connection. Other airports connect through a hub, often for less. Road transfers are included in every package, and the Haramain high-speed train can be added between the two cities.

How and When Should You Book an Easter Umrah?
Book by the end of February, because the booking has to be complete by 9 March. £50 per person holds your booking and is part of the price; 50% of the price is due within 24 hours, and the balance 20 days before departure. The balance can be paid in up to two instalments, and a booking made within 20 days of departure is paid in full once the tickets are issued. Every package with flights is protected by ATOL 74904. In 2027, yes for new arrivals: entry closes after 23 March for the Hajj season, and pilgrims already there leave by 7 April.
Is April cheap or expensive for Umrah?
The first days of April, for pilgrims who arrived in March, are at year-round prices, from £560 per adult with four sharing for ten nights; the rest of April is closed.
Is 7 days enough for an Easter Umrah?

Are Easter Umrah packages ATOL protected, and what if I cancel?
Yes. Every package with flights is protected by ATOL 74904, and the ATOL certificate comes with your tickets once the 50% payment is made; the number can be checked on the CAA's ATOL holder search. Cancellations are made in writing by the lead passenger, and the booking terms apply.
